How to Remove Tags from Your Shopify Store Completely: A Step-by-Step Guide

Managing product tags in your Shopify store can help organise your products better. However, there may be times when you need to remove a tag completely from your store. This blog post will guide you through the process, using "Bluetooth" as an example. By following these simple steps, you can ensure the tag is removed from all products in your store.

Step 1: Go to Products

Log in to your Shopify Admin and head over to the Products section. This is where you’ll manage all your store items.

Step 2: Select All Products

Once you're in the Products section, select all products. This will allow you to edit them all at once.

Step 3: Click Bulk Edit

To make changes to multiple products at once, click the Bulk Edit button located at the top right of the page. This opens a screen where you can edit tags and other product details.

Step 4: Remove the Tag

In the Bulk Edit view, find the Tags section. Click the X next to each "Bluetooth" tag to remove it from all selected products.

Step 5: Save Changes

Once you've removed the tag, make sure to click Save to confirm and apply your changes across all products.

Step 6: Check If the Tag Is Gone

To make sure the "Bluetooth" tag has been removed from every product, follow these steps:

• Go back to the Products section.
• Click on the Search and Filter option at the top right of the page.
• Choose Tagged with, then select "Bluetooth".
  If any products still have the tag, follow the same process to remove it again.

Once the "Bluetooth" tag is removed from all your products, it will no longer appear in the Tags section when adding or editing products. This means the tag has been successfully removed from your Shopify store.
