How much smaller will my images get?
It depends on the image. Photos saved straight from a phone or camera usually shrink the most. If re-saving would make a file bigger, you get your original back unchanged.
Which format should I pick for a website?
WebP, for almost everything. It is usually smaller than JPEG or PNG at the same quality, supports transparent backgrounds, and every current browser shows it. Use JPEG if the file has to open in older software.
What happens to my images?
They are processed as soon as you upload them. The finished download is held for 5 minutes so your browser can fetch it, then the link expires. We do not use your images for anything else.
