FAQs
Questions about this tool
How many letters should I use?
One to three. A browser tab shows a favicon at 16 pixels wide, and more letters than that turn into a blur.
Which font should I choose?
A bold, simple one. Thin strokes vanish at tab size, where a heavy letter stays readable.
ICO or PNG?
PNG works in every current browser. ICO is the older format; use it when your platform or theme asks for a favicon.ico file.
